T-Systems Data Centre House

The site at Feltham provided a live business critical facility for T Systems over a number of different levels and areas.

MJN Colston were appointed as principal contractor to manage and install the raised floors, fire rated ceilings and building services to convert two existing fallow areas into 790m2 of resilient data halls.

Key to the client was the lack of disruption to the ongoing business activities on the site.

The works involved the soft stripping, safe removal and disposal of existing services installations in the areas to be fitted out.

New raised floors where installed to create the IT wiring distribution void and the air flow chamber for the chilled air from the new down flow CRAC Units (Computer Room Air Conditioning) Computer. Fire rated ceilings, lighting, power, fire alarms and Vesda System were also installed.

The Electrical Power and Chilled water was extended from existing plant serving the operational areas. Planning and liaison with the clients team was critical to the successful setting to work and handover of the systems.
